If you are looking for my wife, she might be in Houston; otherwise, check New Orleans, Newport News, Mountain View, Washington, DC, or even the cape. Most likely you will find her in some ungodly place like Hartsfield-Jackson.

Britt@

If you are looking for my daughter, she could be here or here, or just about anywhere.

As for me, I’m probably sitting at the dining-room table typing. Generally, I either use my PowerBook or my old Fujitsu LifeBook (which I have rechristened Le-Livre Linux). When I’m not working, I enjoy watching the grass grow—which, I have learned, takes Patience (Mark Sandman obit, MP3 sample download).

resume:

From August of 1984 through June of 2004, I worked as a copy editor and Technical Editor for a small journal. I had many production, management and policy duties. 1) In 1999 I planned for and oversaw the journal’s transition to using LaTeX for composition. 2) I also prepared the journal’s LaTeX2e packages. 3) I co-authored four revisions of the journal’s author instructions and style guidelines. 4) I served as the general contractor overseeing (a) the electronic archival of over 3,600 articles and monographs, and (b) the design, creation, and production of the Psychometrika CD set.

After leaving Psychometrika, I have kept busy. A partial list of my current activities follows: (i) I am working on several writing projects that are in various stages of completion. (ii) I have done, and am doing some column writing. (iii) I have blogged some. (iv) I also once did contract work. For current info, see Tim's Befuddled Universe.

hobbies:

I usually carry a camera, and an MP3 player. (Gotta have my music!)
